Hello! I’ve had my bunny Charlie for what will be one month this Friday. He’ll be five months old. He doesn’t have cage, I let him run free, and in one part of my bedroom have a few blankets set up for him, a litter box, an igloo, and some newspaper between the igloo and litter box. For a bit, he would pee in the litter box, and he has mainly pooped on the newspaper. Now he doesn’t really use the litter box for anything other than eating the hay in it haha. He pees and poops on the newspaper only (it’s just plain newspaper, no hay). I don’t mind that he goes on the newspaper, but I’d rather he go in his litter box. He’s not neutered yet, I will be getting him neutered in about a month. I was wondering whether I should move the litter box to where the newspaper is, but I feel like it won’t really make a difference because they’re already right next to each other. I feel like he just likes going on newspaper. I’ve taken him on sleepovers to my boyfriend’s house, and I place some newspaper on the floor, which is where he mainly pees when we go there, he just seems to want the newspaper. Do you guys have any tips on making him move to the box? It has newspaper in it already and some hay, but like I said, he just uses it to eat some hay.
