I may be a bit paranoid, but I’m worried about Pete.
He has been acting happy and playful; lots of binkies this morning. Everything seems normal with his routine, good poops, normal peeing, healthy appetite, but he started intermittently sneezing. This could just be because I haven’t vacuumed behind the couch this week like I should have (it’s his favorite afternoon nap spot, and where the sneezing occurred), but I’m worried that there could be a health issue. He lets me pet him and his belly feels normal, he even lets me handle his front legs (not the back feet), but he’s always been a bit shy about his mouth so I haven’t been able to get a good look at his teeth the last few days. At his last check up (just over a month ago) the vet was very happy with his teeth and stated that they were perfectly straight and didn’t expect any major issues with them as long as he kept a healthy diet.
Is it overboard for me to have the vet take another look at him, or should I just keep an eye on him for a while (and of course vacuum his napping spot)? I’m just terrified of anything happening to him. I know that the temperature in the apartment did drop about 5 degrees over the course of the night yesterday (from 77-78 normal to about 72-73), but even though it seems silly to me that is making me worry maybe it’s a small bout of a cold or pneumonia? As I said, he seems happy and relaxed, and when he’s up he’s doing his normal bunmy-500 and binkies… it’s just that he wakes himself up from his nap with a single sudden sneeze about every 30-60 minutes… followed by a little lip licking and going back to sleep. (about 3 times so far)
Am I just being paranoid?
