My bunny, Jude, is a little over 2 months old and I am suppose to introduce vegetables at 12 weeks (in about 2 weeks) and I am not really sure about it. This is my first pet rabbit that was actually mine to care for. When I was little my grandparents bought me a rabbit that stayed outside in a cage and died within two months because they thought it was only suppose to eat grass and a few vegetables..and of course I was just a little kid so I didn’t really care for it, they did. But now I have this bunny, Jude, and he stays in a very large cage in my room and gets let out every day for about 3 hours and is spoiled rotten…I’m just not so sure about vegetables. What should i start introducing with and how much at first and how gradually should I increase the amount that is being fed. I would enjoy it very much if someone would help me on this topic. Thank you

Here is the link to the veggie list from the HRS, and it also has guidelines regarding how often to introduce new greens:
            http://rabbit.org/suggested-vegetables-and-fruits-for-a-rabbit-diet/.

Kale, romaine lettuce, cilantro and parsley are common greens found in any grocery store, and they may be good ones to start with. Introduce one at a time and see what your bunny likes.
