Few weeks ago I’d posted about my little BunBun marking HER territory around her pen (Found out from the vet that she’s a girl instead of a boy!!!!) Well…she still does it, she’s scheduled to be fixed the first week of October. She still wees in her litterbox just fine, just poops a lot outside of it. So still working on that.
What I’m concerned about now is, she likes to dig all her litter out. Well at least a vast majority of it….
To give you an idea of what kind of litter box she has it’s one of those corner store bought ones that are made especially in the rabbit/small animal section. She also tends to unhinge it from the side of her pen….
Should I get a bigger size/with bigger sidings? And how do I get her to not move it around LOL….She does this as well with the outside litter box too, she moves it, hops in it, notices its not in the corner anymore…hops out in pees in it’s corner spot before I even notice ><;;
Luckily most of the flooring is Linoleum
Also another small question… will she stop marking her territory after she’s fixed? I work at a pet store..and the other day she jumped up in my lap before I left for work…and wee’d on my work pants
lolololol. She’s too cute to stay mad at , but I want to be able to have her be in my lap without doing this!! xD -

You definitely want a larger litterbox — med size cat litterbox minimum. She may continue to dig in there after her spay, but with a larger litterbox you have a better chance of the litter staying in the box. I’ve also heard of some folks using screens (available on the BB store site) You might also consider making her a digging box (shredded paper, balled up paper, etc. in a cardboard box).That being said, Moshi is a digger and I’ve thought at times that he’s on a buried treasure hunt in the litterbox. I have two litterboxes in the bunny area, and have gone up to xl cat litterboxes (so far so good) to contain the litter. I made a digging box for him (balled up paper, crinkle litter, cardboard shapes) but he wasn’t interested — Marlee loves to burrow in it though!
I’ve definitely made her a digging box at one point, and she loved it! Then..just lost interest but I’m wondering that was when the hormones kicked in. So i’ll attempt the digging box again when she’s fixed. But she loves all her other toys, even marks them with her chin.
any suggestions on how to get the litter boxes to stay still?
Or should it be okay with the bigger sizes?

Even today she was very good about not moving her litter box around and peeing in place of it.
