Hi all, I am new here and this forum is great. So yesterday I had an unfortunate set back with my bunny (named Lucky) yesterday. I’ve had him for 3 weeks not and I got him when he was exactly 8 weeks old. Initially when I first got him there were times I got frustrated at him which was probably not right as he is just a baby in a new setting. Anyway after the first couple of days I learnt to step back and since then I thought we’ve had a pretty good run in terms of bonding. Yesterday I put him in my bed room instead of the play area, as I went out to grab something to eat I closed the door so he couldn’t run around the house. 5min later as I come back in I opened the door, some what quickly (not that hard like slamming) and my bun was in the way and the door hit him. He ran away from me straight away. He kept on doing it for the whole of last night. I gave him some vege treats as a sorry but even then he was hesitant to take it from my hand. It doesn’t help the cause that my bun is a bit sick where I have to give him eye drops twice a day which he doesn’t enjoy.
He seems to be a bit better with regards to me today but any ideas on how to rebond would be great. PS my bun doesn’t really seem to play with the couple of toys that I bought or the toilet/kitchen roll. He just seems to love biting the cardboard box which its his hutty house which isn’t really a bonding activity
