When I first got my bunny, Henry, from a rescue in the middle of June and brought him home, I noticed that he had something wrong with his left eye. It had a little bit of hard stuck on crust in the corner. At first I thought that maybe this is normal and he just had an eye sleeper (he is my first bunny), but after about a week and a half I noticed he was itching it and his hair had begun to fall out just a little bit. It also started to water, as if he was crying. I called up the vet that had preformed his neuter and asked if I could bring him in. She gave him an eye ointment to use 3 times a day called Gentak. It cleared up his eye in a matter of a week and I thought the problem was solved. I went on vacation for a week and left little Henry with my mom. When I came back, I noticed that his eye was a little bit crusty again and that his nose was running. I called the vet back and asked for a stronger antibiotic because she said he might need one. I gave him the oral antibiotic for 2 weeks and thought he was better once again. For the past week or so, he has had a runny nose and has been drooling. His chin is a little bit matted and his one eye is running once again. I don’t know what else to do for him and I am very worried that it may be his teeth. His front teeth look normal and are straight. I am concerned that this may be his molars. I am a college student and I am a little worried about the price if the problem is his molars. I want the best for him and love him so much. Does this sound like a tooth problem? If not, what else can it be? Also, what is the average price for dental surgery? I am planning on calling the vet tomorrow morning to schedule an appointment. Henry has been eating and drinking normally and he has plenty of energy and still does binkies. His litter box habits have gotten a little bit worse in the past few weeks, and he is pooping all over his condo. Thank you for your help.
