Hello. First time poster, but long time lurker here!
Two of my bunnies share an x-pen at the rear of the apartment. Their hutch is in the back corner and pushed up so that one side is against the wall. On the other hutch side there is an x-pen secured with zip ties. The x-pen is then stretched out to the farthest wall and we sandwich it between the wall and the laundry hamper. It basically creates a long corridor for them. When we are home the bedroom door is open so that they can play in there (they also like to sleep in there).
My problem is that the x-pen is on laminate flooring and my holland lop likes to push it around with his nose. He has figured out how to push the pen so that it slips out from between the wall and the laundry basket and then can escape into the rest of the apartment! I’m looking for a way to secure it to the floor, almost like putting rubber floor protectors over the bottom of the pen so that it cannot move.
I really don’t want to have to bring the pen around and zip tie it’s other side to the other side of the hutch (creating that classic circle or square shape) because it’s not really enough space for the two of them and it’s nice for them to have the option of coming into the bedroom whenever they like. We have a small apartment so it’s the only place they can be.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to secure it to the laminate flooring? I’ve considered a brick but it wouldn’t really fit in lol.
Thanks for any help in advance!
