Wednesday 9/3/14 I discovered that my bunny, Howard, had fleas (my dog had just been treated for fleas, so I’m pretty sure that’s how he got them). The next day, Thursday 9/4/14, he went to the vet and was prescribed Revolution. I applied it to the skin on he back of his neck that night. Friday evening, a little over 24 hours after the application, I combed through his fur checking for fleas. I found about 4 live ones and a couple parts of dead ones. I was pretty dismayed about still finding live fleas, but the package did say it could take up to 36 hours to kill them all. I also still saw a pretty decent amount of flea poop too. It’s Saturday evening now and I just checked Howard’s fur again. I didn’t find any live fleas or any carcasses, but there is still small amounts of the flea dander poop stuff, is this normal?
Is it just left over from when the fleas were there and is still sticking to Howard’s fur, or is it a sign there are still more live fleas? His fur is white and I’ve looked really carefully, so since I don’t see any fleas I want to believe they’re gone, but I’m still worried for him :c
