How to find a rabbit "specialist"

  While at the emergency vet this past weekend for the second time (first for Cinnabun, then twelve hours after Cinnabun got home both were worse and had to be taken back) the vet said that I might need to find a specialist to find out what the actual problem was (Cinnabun’s sneezing, rasping etc haven’t gone away with either antibiotic and my current vet doesn’t seem to know what to do next except to put him back on the first antibiotic that gave him GI stasis.)
  
  I have done some googling but nothing seems to be coming up for “rabbit specialist”. I know that there are lists of rabbit vets in my area but what about rabbit specialists?

  A good thing to remember is that a lot of times vets are not listed as “rabbit specialists”. Mine is listed as an exotics vet. She does small mammals including rabbits. Her partner does birds and reptiles.

  My current vet is an exoctics vet but I don’t think he knows as much as I would like (he might not get as many rabbits in the clinic as some vets). I found a vet nearby that handles mainly small animals (including hamsters, which I imagine must be a very hard thing to examine) and Cinnabun is there today. They do allergy testing at this new vet and I am hoping that they do that today because neither of his antibiotics got rid of his sneezing and coughing. I am really hoping he has allergies and not some kind of genetic or chronic illness.
