Bunny urine comes in a rainbow of colors. That looks like pretty normal pee to me. However, on the edge of the puddle it looks to be a bit darker, and that is what you want to watch, when it’s not a consistent color. Had it begun to dry at all?

I agree with LEL, rabbit urine can be a variety of colors. But I’m not sure why there’s that darker red around the edge.

A good way to get a clear reading on the exact coloring is to soak it up into paper, see if the dark edge is red-red or just an orangey-rust-red with hay or something in it from the surface it’s on. The rusty color is normal, but you want to keep an eye out for dark strings/streaks cause that can be blood.

ive seen the bunny pee vary from a light beige white to a darer, rusty orange. Have you changed he diet recently? Is there any difference in what she has been consuming?

I’m wondering if it’s possible that the urine pooled slightly more to that edge? So that it appears darker simply because there’s more of it? Otherwise it looks very normal to me.

The variety is fine, but when introducing a new veggie, you want to give a small amount of it and no other new ones that day, just in case of tummy upset. If that works out, a little more the next day and if that still works out, you can add it to the rotation. Don’t feed more than one new type per day since you want to be able to pinpoint which one is causing it, if there is gas or a tummy ache.

Yup-though alarming when you first see it, bunny pee can be a rainbow of colors-ok not quite a rainbow, but yellow/orange/red-very alarming at first! In fact Rupert backed up and peed on the wall once and it looked like blood. But it’s from their diet, the colors of veggies often.

What would concern me is an increase or decrease in drinking and peeing. Straining to pee. Loss of litter habits etc. But just finding an odd colored pee pool, no worries

My rabbit recently had a bladder infection. I don’t have the pictures anymore, but the “blood” color in her urine was very easily identifiable as blood- it was clotting soon after being exposed to the air. Even then, it took a test to be sure it was a bladder infection. As I brought her into the vet, the vet even explained that it could merely be pigment from their diet.

If it’s blood, it’ll either be streaky, clotting, or maybe both. Just keep a close eye on your bunny and you may find this is just one of his quirks
