Weird question.
I was putting more food in my bunny’s bowl and when I put it back I heard a “cheenk” sound. I accidentally hit him in the teeth as I put the bowl back in his cage and feel really bad. I didn’t whack him hard, but I’m worried it may have hurt him. I know bunnies’ teeth are pretty strong and are constantly growing.
I have sensitive front teeth from years of braces, so if that were to happen to me my teeth would hurt for a long time afterward. One time when I took off running a metal necklace I was wearing smacked my front teeth and it hurt for weeks. Another time someone accidentally whacked me on the same teeth and I ended up going to the dentist to make sure it was okay because of the pain. I know I’m probably being extra concerned because of my own experiences.
This may seem like a strange question, but do you think it could have hurt him very much? He seems fine and is eating, but I noticed he hasn’t been chewing on things as much today. I bought him a willow twig ball later on that he normally devours in a couple of days and he has barely touched it. Maybe he is just tired and I’m worrying too much. Just thought I’d ask!
