  Hey Guys,
  
  I just wanted to drop in and notify members that Whole Foods market created a pilot to sell rabbit meat in certain states. Domestic rabbit meat from 7-8 week old bunnies. The meat is being sold in certain states, but I can honestly say that I can see it catching on… as digusting as it is.
  
  House Rabbit Society and rabbit folk have been sending letters, petitions, and calling their Local Whole Foods to prevent the sell of it. WF has given the same generic reply to folks, stating that they are ‘sensitive’ to the issue, yet they are feeding the rabbits corn, tearing them away from their mothers, and sent to slaughter at 7-8 weeks of age.
  
  HRS has come up with a, “Day of Action against Whole Foods,” a peaceful protest being held on Sunday, August 17th. If you are interested in going, please read the link below. If you wish to start your own protest at your local WF, please read the link and send the appropirate email to Margo that is in the link.
  
  The goal is to inform the public of what is going on, to educate them, hand out leaflets, hold up posters. Only peaceful protesting.

  Hey! Good to see you, I really miss seeing you around here.
  
  There is a new Whole Foods that opened up just down the street from me. I have never shopped there, so I had no idea they were selling rabbit meat. Is it being stocked at all of the stores?

  We don’t have whole foods here, but that’s awful. I accept rabbits (and other animals) are eaten but.. 7-8 weeks? And corn fed? Wonder how bad their housing situation is too.
  
  And yes, we miss you and Ms Chacha around here. We have a shortage of Diva pictures.

  If you click on the banner at the bottom of BB-the “Save a bunny” one, there is an article there with more info about this.
  
  LoveChaCha-This topic is fine, however I will ask you to place a warning before the “other links” basically stating “contains graphic information, those with sensitives avoid reading further.” There are some very sensitive people here on BB, and a warning never hurt anyone.
