Hey guys! Let me just give you the run down on what’s happened this past week. Last Friday, I took my bunny to the vet because he scratched his right ear more than usual. So I thought ear mites could be the cause. The vet said he doesn’t see any, had a look down my bunny’s ear and he said, and I quote “well, that’s different… Haven’t seen that before”. So I of course asked what is it and his response was “I don’t know it’s little bits of goop(?) So I responded with is that wax. He said “kind of, but wax is usually a different colour.

So, the vet told me to give my bunny ear drops called Dermatin.

Skip to 2 days ago, I noticed on the same ear, my bunny now has a reddish bald patch. I’m guessing it’s from scratching when I used the ear drops – he went scratch crazy when I put them in! But I’d thought I’d come here and ask for your opinion! I see the same vet tomorrow (a week later) to see what’s going on.

There’s unfortunately no bunny savvy vet’s in my area since I live in rural area.
