Out of curiosity, when a bun begins to go into their “teens” is it common for them to spend a lot of time in their litter box? A few of our buns have done this and Biscuit is starting to. Caesar was the worst, because he is all white, it was nearly impossible to keep him clean. They have all outgrown this phase fortunately.

Different bunnies display their “hormonal frustrations” in different ways. As bunnies become teenagers, they become very territorial, so I am guessing sitting in the box surrounds them with their own smell and makes them feel safe-just a thought.
