  Hi Everyone!
  So I have a wonderful little she-bun. She, when I got her was suspected to about 4.5, 5 months… I have had her now just under 1 month. She is a mini-rex and in her bunny condo I have fleece blankets on the floors because I know her feet are sensitive.
  Timeline of events:
  Last night, for the first time since I brought her home, she ventured into her timothy hidey bungalow. She was digging it up in there like crazy. I couldn’t get her to go into it before (and honest had considered removing it, as it was a waste of space).
  This morning, I woke up to the sound of her hay ball rolling down the ramp, when to check things out, she had pulled her entire fleece blanket from the top level into the timothy bungalow. I thought, that is so weird- maybe she is just bored. So I let her out in her room (filled with toys, etc). I came back shortly after to her pulling apart the base to the computer chair.
  Well- I’m paranoid because I think she’s eating the material so I stop her (which was nearly impossible, she had a grip associated with a mission). So I try to take the material that is in her mouth out of her mouth. She runs into her condo, up the ramp and into the bungalow. I look inside. Tons of the chair material, tons of pieces of fleece and all of her hay. I remove the blanket- she pulls it back in, I remove the blanket, she pulls it back in. She is normally very social and sweet and while she will let me pet her she won’t stop ripping stuff apart to bring into her bungalow.
  
  Now. These are my concerns/thoughts:
  She has her appointment to get spayed in exactly one week.
  Can she be spayed while having a false pregnancy?
  I want to let her out to run around, but she is destroying the carpet (which prior to today she had no interest in).
  Are there things I can give her to help build her nest, or can I take it away all together? Judging by her complete determination I suspect she will build it somewhere else? (If she is pulling at a towel or blanket I literally cannot take it from her she just holds on for dear life).
  I would like to put blankets down on her condo floor to protect her feet, but she just brings them into her nest.
  It is strange to see her like this- she is behaving like a totally different, crazy rabbit.
  
  Any advice on how to handle this properly is appreciated.

  I am also wondering how much of a nest she will feel the need to build until she stops?

  Hmm, just wondering, did she have any contact with male rabbits in her previous home? I always like to completely rule out a real pregnancy…
  With her determination, I think she would just rebuild her nest if you took away the one she has now.
  False pregnancies go away on their own, I don’t think there’s much you can do to convince her to stop.
  I’m not sure about getting her fixed, I’d think it’d be okay, but I’ve never encountered getting a bun fixed during a false pregnancy so I wouldn’t know. There are a lot of people on here who might know the answer to that.

  She was in a pet store, and from what I know she was housed alone for a month before I got her. Unsure about genders with her before that.

  Hmmm, well, I wouldn’t trust anything the pet store says, and you’ve had her less than a month so it’s just possible she’s actually pregnant… If she is you’ll know very soon as gestation is 30 days.
  
  Anyway, it’s fine to get her spayed during a false pregnancy.
  You can even get bunnies spayed during a real pregnancy, but like I say, you will know one way or another in a weeks time!
  
  If it’s a false pregnancy there’s nothing you can do really. Spaying should for the most part stop it happening.

  I just thought of this— My mom’s friend, when she was a child, adopted a Hamster that “hadn’t been around other hamsters for quite some time.” so they brought the hamster home. One day while cleaning the cage a couple weeks later, what did they find? BABIES! So still possible…

  Sorry to laugh when you do have a genuine concern, but I’m picturing all of it in my head and it’s so funny! When a bunny sets it’s mind on something, there’s no changing it!!!

  The timing does indicate that it could be a real pregnancy. Hopefully not… :-\
  
  As far as a false pregnancy, you really just gotta ride it out. The nutty behavior usually resolves itself in a few days.

  Hello and thanks to everyone got the replies.
  I have had her exactly 31 days. Coincidence or…..?????
  She has ripped out a large amount of hair, and seems exhausted (she has been at this all day afterall)….
  I spoke with the vet and she suggested a nesting box just in case. It’s all setup.
  She has been house alone for definitely 35 days, but maybe they put her into an occupied cage to clean hers?
  
  Or maybe it’s just a coincidence. Do they rip hair for days if it’s false?? Would nesting material help prevent her from pulling?

  My rabbit pulled out hair back when she had a false pregnancy for like 2 days, so yes they can pull out hair even if its false. I’d assume nesting material might help but I’m not sure… When my bun went thru this she used whatever was in her cage plus her own hair

  Gestation tends to be pretty much exactly 30 days, so if she hasn’t had them in a day or so she’s probably not pregnant.
  
  Nesting material should help minimise fur pulling.

  Just a quick update on this:
  I woke up to no babies and a very hyper bun. I reached in to giver her some pets and was greeted with a bunch of kisses.
  I let her out of her cage into her play room, binkys and running all over the place- a total different bun than yesterday. She was this weird nest making robot zombie yesterday and today is just… Casper
  
  Maybe just a weird (and coincidental) scare?
  
  Thankfully she is getting spayed soon!
