        Hi everyone,

I have a question about odd grooming.. I think it is odd.

My rabbit Luna always grooms my other rabbit Neji, which is lovely, but the last couple of days she has been grooming inside of his ear (you know that grooming where it almost looks like nibbling?). Anyway, he will let her for a little bit but it does annoy him and he will pretty much tell her to get lost when she does it. Neji never grooms her, I think I saw him do it once, so he isn’t doing it to her and I don’t know if it is normal behaviour.

Also, Neji is a lop ear so I don’t know if that has something to do with it.. I dunno.

Thank you for any help or replies

Rabbits groom inside their ears with their back feet, but it’s so much nicer when a buddy licks them clean for ya! Not fair that Neji doesn’t groom back!

My lops clean each other’s ears. Marlee has some ear control (she’ll hold them up for him to clean) so Moshi has it easy. Moshi, on the other hand, has very little ear control and longer ears so Marlee has to work at it!

Totally normal. Wooly will stick his nose under Leopold’s floppy ear and physically stand it up so he can lick in there.

Yep, it’s ok. Sometimes Roxi gets too far in Lionel’s ear, so he shakes his head to get her away.
