  So recently my roommate and I have moved into a new house and I’ve begun bonding my 3 bunnies (a single and a bonded pair). With the new house I have two options on housing, either a bunny room or have them free range in the upstairs area.
  
  Bunny Room:
  
  We have a spare room “downstairs” that is very spacious (biggest one in the house!) with a large window that would make the perfect bunny room! The only problem is that in order to reach the living room/kitchen area they would need to scale a flight of hardwood steps, something Rex would never do and Ruby and Jasper might have problems with, meaning that they stay in the bunny room only and can never leave.
  
  Free Range:
  
  The other option is to free range them upstairs. They would spend most of their time in my bedroom if I’m not home, and be loose in the living room/kitchen when I am home. The problems with this idea is that my roommate (I lover her to death) leaves cords and dangerous objects laying around everywhere, we have a banister that I know Ruby could easily jump over and hurt herself, and a dog that we need to watch because she has snapped at small critters before. All these things are manageable, but could end up turning into a bad situation.
  
  So all in all, with a bunny room they get lots of space in a safe place, but only see me for 2 or 3 hours a day. Or with free range they can interact with multiple people and socialize, but it comes with some minor risks.

  I would do the Bunny Room. It sounds much safer than free range. You and your friends can go into the Bunny Room whenever you want to play and interact with them.
  It would not be safe at all for the bunnies to have cords and other objects lying around loring them to eat I’ve been through that before.
  It would also not be fun or money efficient if your dog bit your rabbit and you had to rush to the vet. I just wouldn’t risk that.
  You can also always let them run around your kitchen and other rooms of your house.
  Bunnies will usually make minor risks into huge risks.

  How nice you have options, eh?
  I think I agree with Mocha, if it were me I’d go with the bunny room, I get what you mean about less socialisation, but you could put a sofa and TV or something in there and hang out… plus, a whole room just for them – you can build a bunny paradise!
  Also, I live with bunnies in my bedroom and I would NOT recommend! Earplugs. all. the. time. haha!

  Agreed. I think bunny room is best. I have Albert in the basement because we have a very aggressive dog upstairs. This means Al only gets a few hours of my time a day. It is not ideal but at least I know he is safe down here. I have a couch and a tv so I end up watching a few hours of tv a day while I’m hanging out with him.
  Safety would be my main concern and it sounds like the bunny room is the safest.
