Hi! Here’s the whole story:
A few days after I bought Mowjow (my very first bunny, pet shop sales lady said she’s around 2 months old), I noticed some very strange poop from her — clear jelly like poop. She was still very active and I wasn’t so much worried so I just observed her for less than 24 hours. And then she started to produce cecotropes and won’t eat them and I got worried. I took her to the vet, and after a fecal, the doctor said she has worm eggs in her poop (I forgot to ask what kind of worm). The doctor dewormed her and instructed me to giver her antibiotics twice daily for one week and then come back to the vet hospital in 2 weeks. Fortunately her poop became normal again. But I don’t know if her poop now still has worm eggs. I’ve read it’s normal for rabbits to sometimes eat their normal poop, but I’m worried that she might get reinfected with the worms when she eats them.
What are your experiences with deworming, my fellow bunny lovers/owners?
Thanks in advance!
