MODS: I wasn’t sure if this should go in Housing and Toys since it doesn’t really pertain to housing. Feel free to move it if you feel it is better suited there.
Being a stay-at-home mom, I can free-range my bunny Remy almost all day. She tends to prefer to stay to the area rug in our living room which is approx (I can measure if need be) 4’x6-7′ and about a 2.5’x2.5′ area between the rug, her cage and the wall. Seeing as we have laminate wood floors, she doesn’t like to venture too far off the carpet and even makes a diagonal hop out of her cage door to be on the carpet. She has really started exploring further lately, though and I would like to keep her contained in this area. The rug is right next to the television and play station so there are a lot of cords and I sit in the living room and do my school work so the computer cord is accessible as well. I can make her a pen but is a 4’x7′ area plus her 4’x2.5′ cage enough room for free-range? I can extend it to about 5’x9′ if need be and if I have enough materials. I don’t want her to be cramped up all the time but I also don’t want to have to return her tp her cage to walk in the next room for 5 minutes to make a bottle for my daughter or whatever I may need to do. I would feel better if she could have a penned in area.
I appreciate all of your wonderful advice and the time you all take to give it!
