  My two rabbits REFUSE to bond. It’s been 6 months and they absolutely hate each other! They do well sometimes, but we have had 3 insane fights leading to injuries. I know that 2 boy buns should not be bonded but, I can not give either of them up. At this point, my house is WAY too small to have a fence separating it in half. The fence in fact has led to 2 broken human toes, 5 rubbed shins and 2 complete falls over it. It’s posing a danger to all in my household. With that said, my husband and I are on different schedules and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to house one rabbit from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and then switch them? They each have their own bunny house to go into, and they would both be getting equal roaming and lovey time. What do you think? Thanks!

  Hi Taysmama13, I don’t normally post on bonding sites, cause I honestly don’t know about anything to do with bonding, but that never stops me from reading. One thing I can comment on cause I do know (WOW! ha ha ha) is that you can bond 2 boys! You can bond 2 of anything (m/f, m/m, f/f) as long as your bun’s are cool with having a friend. I can’t help with the ‘how’, but don’t give up – hopefully someone will come along soon and can help you out with suggestions and advice. But yes, there is every chance your 2 boy’s can become friends, it has nothing to do with them being both boy’s. Quite a few BBer’s have same sex bonded bunny’s. I hope tanlover (Manny’s mum) doesn’t mind me putting her name out there, but she is SUPER good with bonding advice, maybe send her a PM and ask for the info to her bonding site.   2 boys can definitely be bonded, as long as they are both neutered. Have you tried stress bonding? Neutral territory?
  I think dividing up the out time is a good plan. Injury by gate is definitely not a good thing.

  Tays, there is absolutely no reason two male buns can’t bond!! It sounds like everyone is stressed and upset with how the bonding has gone… so if you wouldn’t mind explaining everything out… could you tell me what you have tried, where the interactions have taken place, were these fights on neutral territory, did one get out of their pen and get into the others pen and this caused the fight?
  
  I would love to help you continue bonding your two if you’re up for the challenge! I have a bonded group of six and I’m going to be adding in a seventh this coming month so I really understand the importance of having bonded bunnies as it’s difficult to manage when you have multiple pens and play areas everywhere! I simply cannot deal with that which is how I got so into bonding. I put my big girl pants on and became determined to out do these buns when it comes to bonding. It has now become a hobby of mine as I have realized a lot of people take the wrong approach while bonding.
  
  Let me know if you’re still interested in more bonding or if you are just determined to have them live separately at this point!
