So, I am about to finally take the leap and bond the bunnies. I am SUPER nervous because Ashe is highly aggressive towards everything that moves, but we figured we would give it a shot. I am going to start with stress bonding. I haven’t decided if I want to use the vacuum, dryer, or just shaking a box. Car is not a good option because we live 6 floors up, and it’s a hassle to get them all the way to the car. Supplies I will be going out to buy in a few minutes: Spaghetti strainer, thick cleaning gloves, and possibly some other thick gloves. Does anyone have anything I should add to the list?

I would buy some gardening gloves instead of cleaning gloves, they are much thicker and meant for pokey plants so they can withstand bunny teeth better. Oven mitts also work well.
I think I would start with the noises over movement in the box as sometimes I have found the movement can cause them to bounce into each other and start fighting. You are more in control that way.
Stay calm, the bunnies feed of your emotions.

Well, first session hasn’t happened yet because I had issues keeping my rabbits under control lol. I put Ashe in the box first (this box was up to my chest and is the tallest we have) and Ashe kept trying to jump out causing Moogle to panic in my arms. I lost my resolve and put Moogle away who had started kicking in my arms. I’m going to go out and get a smaller sized carrier to transport them into the box safely and try putting Moogle in first. I contacted the Missouri House Rabbit Society and they basically just said everything I have learned from this site, so I’m still stuck in the same situation My boyfriend came in to help and by that time Moogle was so stressed he looked like he was hyperventilating, so we left it for today (or tomorrow depending on if I get the smaller carrier). I think my boyfriend is going to help out but he’s VERY allergic to the hay in the bunny room, so he usually stays out. I will update as soon as I try again.

Oh and the good news is, Ashe didn’t lunge at my hand once in the box, so I guess the lunging is territorial.
