Right now I have Eclipse on the Oxbow Natural Science Joint Support supplement. She is 6 years old, and while she does not seem to have any arthritis, I had them left over from my previous senior bun. At this point I can’t really tell if the weight loss or the supplement is helping her move better, but I’m going to keep giving them to her as I don’t see the harm at her age. If she doesn’t have arthritis now, she probably will at some point. Now I am thinking though, that I would also like to see her on some of the other supplements. Particularly the urinary support, as I know that sludge was a potential issue with my previous senior and if I can do stuff to prevent it now on top of diet, that would just be nice. Then I am also thinking that the digestive support one might be nice, as sometimes Eclipse has gotten a little gassy/tummy trouble in the past. But then what about just general immunity or the senior support? Or maybe the one for skin and coat (though her skin and coat are already very nice).

I don’t think that the Joint and Urinary ones would be too much, but what about adding a third one in? Does anyone have their bun on all the different types?

Since they don’t really contain any antibiotics, just beneficial herbs and plants, I don’t think it could hurt. They could help, and it shouldn’t be a problem to do a few of them since they are just plants. I have my guinea pigs on the urinary support, and although I don’t know if it actually does anything, it’s a good healthy treat and it can’t hurt, so why not?

I also give the joint supplements to my 7 year old buns, hard to tell if they are working or not, but my buns don`t show any signs of arthritis. You could try contacting Oxbow with your questions, either through their website or their Facebook site.

I don’t think any of these supplements are going to actually prevent anything and they don’t make any claims of this that I can see on their website – I think they are a great idea and make great treats.

My 4 year old lionhead, Charlotte, has chronic issues with her urinary tract. Thinking about getting her the Urinary support tablets. Like you all stated before, hard to tell if they work, but tasty treats all the same right? Couldn’t hurt. I may also give her a couple crasins a day, too.

I get the digestive support because I’m always afraid of GI stasis. But who knows. I think it just eases my mind even though I also don’t think it would prevent much haha but Sally seems to LOVE them and I enjoy giving her her treat everyday

Thinking about it a little more, I think that I will keep using the papaya tablets for digestion purposes, but definitely going to get some more joint supplement and the urinary health ones to try. In the future I might look to get another type as well, but the bunny money for June will go to just those two and some other treats. I agree that they are more potentially beneficial treats, not actually going to prevent something. Eclipse goes crazy for them though, and I would rather feed them than anything else really!

Mostly I was just worried that maybe some ingredients would overlap, but the only ones I think do are the senior support and immunity support. I think I will ask Oxbow on their Facebook page and maybe they will weigh in.

Which ingredients overlap? I don’t think two tablets could contain enough of a plant to make it harmful.

Oops, not the two I mentioned earlier. The digestive and immune support versions both have fenugreek and chicory root. Though I’m also not really considering either of those at this point. If I do decide to add one in the future it will be after she has tried the urinary health ones first to make sure there is nothing that upsets her tummy.
