Hi All,
I’m new here, But I have owned many rabbits in the past a few years back, I had always fed them horrible pellets like peters and random pellets from stores but now I know how important the diet is and I want to get the best possible diet for my new bun buns.
I haven’t gotten my bunny yet, I will be picking her up when I get everything for her but I am planning on feeding Oxbow young rabbit pellets but right now they are a little to expensive so I picked up some Vetafarm rabbit pellets to try, I did notice they had Lucerne in them so I was thinking they would be fine up until she is 6 months and then swap to Oxbow Adult Rabbit pellets.
Anyway I do live in Australia so its super hard to find good quality pellets and the Vetafarm has less ingredients but the analysis is similar to Oxbow
Ingredients: fescue, lucerne, oat fibre.
Whole grains: wheat, soybean and oats
Vitamins: A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, C, D3, E, H & K
Minerals Calcium, cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus potassium, selenlum, sodim, sulphur & Zinc
Analysis:
Min Crude Protein: 13%
Min Fibre: 16%
Min Crude Fat: 3%
Max Salt (NaCl): 0.5%
If anyone knows any other great quality pellets and preferably cheaper too (but I am willing to pay more for good quality) for both young and adult rabbits in Australia and if there are places in South Australia that sell them feel free to mention!
