A lot of buns don’t like slick surfaces. That coupled with the word “apartment” and I think you will want to put some added protection down. Like a roll of plastic and cover with a piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting. Tough, low to no-pile, and spot cleaning is easy. Litterbox training will seem short, but a month or two passing by and hormonal behavior kicks in and many times they begin marking territory (which usually ends with neutering).
Also a room, to a new bun, will likely seem really huge and maybe a lil daunting. I was advised that buns like small areas to get used to as they explore. So make sure you have lots of hidey places (cardboard boxes) and plenty to keep him/her busy. You may not have to worry about it, but might want to keep in mind that while not all buns are chewers (mine isnt) a lot of pets somehow manage to know if you are renting or not, so might wanna think about baseboard coverage too.
I think it’s awesome your bun is getting an entire room! I wish I had more space to do that! Welcome to BB and take a look around. LOTS of habitat ideas (even room ideas) and great information on diet and care AND behavior can be found here!
