Oh well then that’s the issue. He’s not litter box trained yet!
Good thing you’re getting the litter box. That will send a clear signal that there is a certain place to pee.
It might take a couple of weeks before he gets the hang of it.
I think you will need to restrict his ‘roam free time’ too. Start the litterbox training in a smaller area before you give him more space. When you give him more room, restrict the time he gets to spend in it. Start with 10 mins and then gradually increase (20 mins – 30 mins -…). It’s just to avoid that he gets confused and looks for a new place to pee. I did this too and it helped.
I had a difficult time with my bunny Frodo as well. But now he’s got the hang of it and he doesn’t pee all over the place. I had to get several litter boxes to get him trained. I placed those in strategic places.
The poops stay though! They get spread around especially with Frodo. He can’t keep them in untill he finds a box
. He’s getting neutered very soon (this monday) and I hope this will improve his litter box habbits even further. Although I am prepared to start from zero again.
Good luck!!!
