  Most of the time my bunny is perfectly content lounging about. Sometimes she’ll race around the room, bunch up my blankets, and shred old homework, but not very often. I’m trying to figure out some toys she’d play with, but she is so picky! I looked at some of the ideas on the “Weekly TOYtorials” thread (they are amazing!), but I know that my bun will just ignore them.
  
  About a week ago I had balloons in my room from my birthday. Two of them fell to the ground and my bun LOVED it. She’d push the balloons all over the place. It was so funny to watch, but unfortunately the balloons shrunk to nothing, and she has gone back to chilling out on the floor. I tried to get her to play with a cat ball with a bell and she wanted nothing to do with it. I even tried a larger plastic ball and put hay in it, but she’d eat for a few minutes and ignore the ball. Are balloons safe for her to play with? They seem to be the only thing she is interested in.

  I don’t know, but I think I would be worried about it popping. If she scratched it or bit it…. it would be terrifying for her and she could hurt herself.
  I can imagine they would find balloons great fun, but I don’t think I’d risk it personally.

  That’s what I was thinking. I’m sure the noise of it popping would terrify her. Because she’s so interested in balloons, do you think that a small beach ball would suffice?

  That does seem like a better idea. Another “people toy” popular for bunnies is the slinky.
  
  Have you tried toys that are not spherical in shape? She also might be more interested in toys that taste good or feel good to chew. Or even if you provide food where the rabbit has to do something out of the ordinary to get it (such as a hanging treat or feeder) can provide stimulation for them. I also have a ball with a hole in it – you put treats inside, and watch the bunny roll it around to get treats out.

  Oatmeal containers. The old style cylinder kind.
  Hanging toys.
  Maybe if you take a beach ball and hang it from some string so she can push it.
  Treat toys are usually a hit, because the food keeps them interested.

  I’ve tried hanging bird toys and she wasn’t interested at all. I have a hanging feeder in her house at the moment. I put hay and a treat inside, and she plays with it every now and then. Usually she uses it if her hay is getting low.
  
  When she does get a treat, she usually runs around the room a few times(I call this her victory dance).
  
  She doesn’t seem bored or unhappy. She’s perfectly content getting pet and plopping down on the floor, but I want her to be as healthy as possible and to prevent boredom. She is the only bun in the house, and i don’t want to leave her with nothing to do when I am at work.

  Just an idea. Maybe you could give a balloon that just has a very small amount of air in it. That way it would not really be able to pop. And even if it does pop it would be a little noiseless pop.

  Maybe an empty 2 liter will be similar enough to the balloons? My guys have several with holes cut into them so they’re easier to throw.

  Hmmm, I don’t have many ideas for your bun. My bun has ignored every toy/ball I’ve bought or made for her. -sigh- I don’t like giving her paper toys because she doesn’t shred them she like, eats them. I hope you find something your bun likes. Try making the roll n’ chew and punch a hole in it, then try sticking a treat in it? Maybe she’ll like that?

  If she really likes balloons, you could use them only if she’s supervised.
