FORUM DIET & CARE Shredded paper…? Yay or Nay?

        I work in a hospice facility and we store all of our documents on the computer. Therefore we shred LOTS of paper. I read the other day that the ink can cause issues to bunnies who eat/chew on it…. Fact or Fiction? 

        I know people use newspaper so wouldn’t that be the same ??… 

        Just want to be certain I get it right lol

          You need to be careful. Newspaper is normally ok as it is soy-based ink, normal ink would cause problems. A more experienced member shoukd be able to confirm?

            Yup, soy based ink is okay. A lot of phone books and newspapers are soy based. Regular printer ink would not be good for a bunny if ingested.
