I have a youngish cat (3-4 years) that is indoors only, Midas. While he does have an enclosed patio that he spends 6-10+ hours on per day, since Eclipse has moved in he has often been inside when he normally would have been out. Just rolling around next to her pen or laying very relaxed and watching her. He seems to get complete joy from her being here! She is just as curious about him, and after a while of sniffing each other through the bars both stretch out and simply watch each other for sometimes a few hours. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of that because when I walk over during their little “sit sessions” one or both of them get up, but here is a picture of him watching her eat her greens.

Not sure how things might change during her free run times because until she gets done with her territorial pooping and peeing outside of the litter box she is on lock down. 48 hours after move-in and I think she might be done with the bad peeing and the poops are happening more where they are supposed to than not. 48 hours from now and I’m sure she will be done with this nonsense! My guess is that he will try to groom her like he does the dogs.
