Hi everyone,
Both my bunnies got neutered about a month ago. Max’s neutering went well and he is a happy bunny and is full of personality. The vet informed us that one of Zane’s testicles hadn’t descended, so she had to get it to drop via palpatation. Everything went well so we took them home. First few hours home, Max was already back to his normal self and was happy as a clam. Zane was a little skittish so we attributed it to him being tired and groggy from the anesthesia. Days later, we notice a change in Zane’s personality and it wasn’t for the better. Before he was neutered he would let us hold him, pet him and he was pretty active. Now he seems very anti-social and not trusting towards us. He would lower his body when we pet him as if he’s afraid or he would hop away and hide under his hutch. He won’t let us hold him. We leave the door to their condo open so they could come and go as they please but Zane would not come out. He’s very timid. His litter habit is excellent though. I’m lost as to why his personality changed. I thought after neutering, rabbits are supposed to be friendlier? He almost seems depressed! What should I do to regain his trust? Thank you for your help!
