Hi all,
I haven’t posted on BB in quite some time. A lot has been going on lately. Anyway, back to my main concern…
It’s after 1am. I went to feed Chester his dinner (pellets) as I do every night before I go to bed + give him his bedtime treat (craisin). Chester didn’t come running for his treat as per usual so I knew something was up. He’s not in pain, he’s still charging around his room, digging his blankets, throwing toys everywhere etc. Just refusing food. As he was hopping around I noticed he had poop stuck to his bottom and tail. I’ve cleaned it the best I can. But I can’t get it all off. He’ll have a butt bath in the morning (I’ve done this before, he doesn’t stress. I don’t soak him, he will be dried well etc etc). I believe I know what has caused it. I gave him an oxbow timothy hay cake to try for the first time. He loved it. But, as that is the only thing that he has had different, I believe his tummy hasn’t handled it well.
The thing I really want to know is what do I do in regards to food? Do I let his stomach settle? Do I force feed him CC? Do I force liquids on him? He was fine this afternoon, eating hay etc, so he hasn’t been refusing food for long. I’m just at a crossroads as to what to do. Plus it’s late, and I’ve been awake since the early hours of this morning so I want to make sure I get advice from other bunny slaves so I don’t end up making things worse
