I can’t comment on the diet part. But for the biting, keep doing the little scream. She’s probably just scared. Maybe avoid petting her and just simply sitting near her and talking to her. She may just be extra shy and take a bit longer to get used to this big change.
For names, Ginger would be cute. But you can also wait till you get to know her a little better.
I picked Ziggy’s name before I got him home. But luckily the name suits him since he like to zig-zag all over the furniture. lol!

Young bunnies should have some form of alfalfa in their diet, either unlimited alfalfa pellets or unlimited alfalfa hay. What are the pellets made out of?

Does she react to other noises at all? It isn’t uncommon to have a deaf Holland.

About the diet. My vet told me at 9 weeks to give them one soupspoon of pellets, unlimited hay and water and an occasional nibble of veggies.

Biting and nipping is what baby bunnies do to get to know the world around them. Frodo and Arya used to nip everything, especially my shoes. Just keep on squeeling when she does it. That worked for Frodo and Arya.

Frodo and Arya don’t like being really petted yet. When I hand feed them I do pet them so they get used to it. I touch them on their bum, their head, their back, their paws, their belly, their ears. They jumped away if they didn’t like it but came back for pellets. Right now I can touch them wherever but they always choose wether they want to walk away or not. They’re not really cuddly yet, too active

Have you tried some “tests”? I did that with Leopold. I would find a completely new noise (one was a party horn from a New Years party) and wait until Leopold was engrossed in something and did not know I was there. Then I would make the noise. I would always get a reaction out of Wooly, but never Leopold. LOL I had the vet look at him too and she agreed he was deaf.

With biting, it was difficult because Leopold would bite HARD. It would come completely out of the blue too. One time he jumped up in my lap and chomped my leg through my jeans. He still managed to make an indent in my skin and a freakish bruise developed. We tried several things. I had the most luck with was simply disrupting the behavior. For example, let’s say he got on my lap by himself. Obviously, he wanted to be there for one reason or another. When he would go to bite, I would quickly grab him and set him down on the floor. I also found that bribery went a long way too. When he was being good and not biting, he would get a reward. Obviously, it took a lot longer than with Wooly. After a couple of little shrieks, he learned to adjust his pressure. Wooly still puts his teeth on me when he wants something or simply wants me to get out of his way, but he doesn’t actually bite down anymore.

When I first got my rabbit, she would nip when she didn’t get her way, and would bite through your clothes to get to your leg or arm for no reason, and it would really hurt. Sometimes she even bit hard enough to make us bleed. We found out making a noise she didn’t like, (Like a small scream) really discouraged her. If you bun is deaf, then the noise will not work to discourage, as she won’t be able to hear you. I agree with LBJ10, If your bun is on your lap and she bites, set her down carefully on the floor.

With your bunny being shy, If you have only just gotten her recently, she needs to find out she can trust you, and to warm up to you. My bun took a while to completely warm up to me and trust me. Don’t force her to be out with you if she doesn’t want to be. Hopefully soon enough she’ll become more outgoing and a little cuddle bug!

For your bun’s diet, I would keep up the unlimited hay, and maybe unlimited pellets. When your rabbit has reached maturity (I would say around 5 months) you should really start to have a somewhat strict amount of daily pellets, because your bun can get overweight and stuff.

As for a name, I think Pumpkin Spice, Autumn, or Nutmeg.

Cotton would groom me and do a pinching nip. Ouch.  Squeeling didn’t help at all with him.  He is not deaf either.  I just moved him from my neck.  He got the hint and stopped.

It might also be a baby thing (not sure if particular to lops or not), but mine was also very nippy when I brought him home at 3 months old and the screaming didn’t really work either (and he’s not deaf). But he eventually grew out of it and now at almost a year old he only nips when a body part is blocking his way lol I also used to just nudge him away if I caught on when he was about to nip… so what others have mentioned about just disrupting the unwanted behavior.
