I’m in the process of bonding my trio and my two girls got into a nasty fight Saturday night.  We don’t know if this happened during the fight or just from binkying into something but . . . Kieko started holding her right eye half shut — not all of the time but at least half the time.  At first we thought she was just waking up because we’d usually see it as she was stretching.  I looked at both eyes and the edge of the right eye was the tiniest bit less gray than the left.  She would always open both wide when I tried to look at them, but something just didn’t feel right so off to the vet we go (pet insurance just took effect on 3/14 after 2 week wait!).

Vet did a stain on both eyes and said her right eye wasn’t scratched but it did have a bruise/slight abrasion.  Gave us antibiotic drops for 7 days and pain drops to use as needed (said she’s half closing it because it hurts).  Required bonding break for 7 days to be on the safe side.  Going to be fine, but poor baby!

So, needless to say, trust your gut if you feel something just isn’t right with your bunny!
