I am going to go out of town at the end of may for 4 days, i will have someone come by my house to check on my pets, How long would you be able to leave a bunny with no adult supervision, this isn’t ideal for me…i don’t ever travel but i have to be at a wedding. would having my neighbor come every other day be ok, or will they need to come every day…im even thinking of sneaking her in the hotel with me…i don’t want to leave her..

She is still confined to a cage, correct?

she is still in a cage but we take her out all day long…im afraid she will be upset to not get taken out of her cage to play…in the afternoon i put her in the kiddie corral, its actualy my toddlers, its a safe place for her to hop around and its very large, at night we bring her into my bathroom…she has never just been left in a cage, i don’t even do that to my birds…i hate that i have to go away.I can’t let her have free roam of the house..it would not be safe, i have a cat and a dog…the dog is of no threat, she was actually grooming him the other day but i don’t trust the cat..Sadly penelope will never truely have the run of the house.

i trust my friends will take good care of her, i know they will take her out to play but i don’t want to upset the relationship that we have with her…she is a cuddly little thing, she licks our face’s she seems to be so trusting…i don’t want her to get a chip on her shoulder for leaving her…i am thinking of even sneaking her in our room..

If she is confined and does not get as much run time as she is used to, it won’t be the end of the world. She might be a pouty pants when you return, but she will be OK. We went on vacation and my boys spent most of the time in their cage. My mom came and fed them and whatnot. We did get the butt when we got back, but they got over it quickly. I think they were more angry about the fact that they weren’t out running around all the time. The fact that we weren’t there didn’t seem to be an issue. After all, they were getting fed. That’s all I’m good for, you know. Food.

I would have your friend stop by daily and don’t worry about her not getting out of her cage – she’ll get over it.
