Hi BolingbrookMom, congratulations on your new addition Rorschach (I hope he is helping you heal). Yep, just give one new veg at a time, just so you can see if he reacts to it? My boy must have a tummy of steal, luckily I’ve had no problems introducing any veg. I’m a big veggie eater myself, so as I’m preparing our meal, Henry’s dish sits on the counter and he gets the ends/scraps, so he gets a good variety every day. I have even learned that he doesn’t like ‘stuff’ eg., zucchini! and don’t even bother to put it in his dish anymore, ha ha. I have even started buying stuff that I didn’t eat before (like sweet potato – not ‘white’ potato) cause I know Henry likes it. I also buy particular veg just for him, like his Kale. Each time I wanted to him to try something new, if I hadn’t heard of other BBer’s using it for their buns I just checked the ‘NO NO’ list to make sure first. For example, some BBer’s believe that you shouldn’t feed a bun cabbage? A few of us do and it is all good and my Henry loves it. Some of the other veg I give Henry is lettuce (NOT iceberg), broccoli, cauliflower, (and all the surrounding leaves), parsley, carrot (just the ends from cutting up dinner cause it is a ‘treat’), and a bit of pumpkin when I have it on occasion (but NO seeds). Oh, and I’m lucky enough to have a mulberry tree, so Henry gets a good constant supply of mulberry leaves which are very healthy for bunnies. Hope this has helped you out a little BolingbrookMom. Enjoy your new guy. Cheers.
