  Three years ago, when my bun was 2 years old, he stopped eating. I wasn’t really informed about bunny care then so I just assumed it was stomach ache. When day two of no eating & pooping/peeing came about, I was freaking out because it was saturday and vet was unavailable. So, at nearly midnight of day two, he finally nibbled on his vegetables and began eating again. He pooped regularly again and peed again. I just remember praying so hard my brain was ready to explode. I was like ranting: “God, you cannot take my bunny away from me!”
  
  So, what happened that night three years ago? Why did he stop eating for so long? Just wondering in case it ever happens again. After all, my bun is middle-aged.

  Glad to hear he’s okay now! What a relief.
  
  I’m not sure why he would stop and then start again… are you sure he wasn’t eating? Is it possible you just didn’t see?
  
  Also, it doesn’t really matter, but 2 isn’t middle aged. A well cared for bunny should live for around 10 years. 2 years old is still a young bunny, so hopefully he’s in perfect health!

  It would be impossible to know what the cause was from 2 years ago.
  
  I’m guessing your rabbit is 5 now and what may be the cause for this if it ever happens again could be a number of things so it’s really just impossible to speculate about these things.
