My bunny, Winston, is quite healthy. He used to be munching hay all the time but suddenly he stopped. He is still a growing bun and I’m worried any suggestions?

I would just keep trying with the hay. What happens many times on young rabbits though is that they fill up on pellets.

I agree with Sarita. Maybe try some different hays and see if he has a preference. Mine didn’t eat much hay as a baby because he always had pellets to eat. Now that he’s on limited pellets, he spends all day eating hay and I’m constantly refilling his hay rack.

Im bringing home a 10 week old bun here in a few days and I was reading this^^^^^^ and now Im wondering… should she only be fed pellets 3 times a day? and always having hay obviously! would that be better to feed her 3 meals of pellets rather than free feed so she doesn’t fill up and not want to eat her hay?

Wonderlandbunny, it might be better to start your own thread so more people can see it and respond.

When mine was a baby I fed him twice a day and he was never free fed. I just measured out the pellets so that he got about as much as he could eat and then I would notice if he wasn’t feeling well or eating normally.
