Lately when I wash the fleece liner at the laundry place it still smells like urine. I really don’t want to have to wash it more than once since it already requires multiple trips back and forth (I won’t sit there the entire cycle). I was wondering if I add vinegar into the hole where the softener goes if that would work. Work in the machine and work to get the odor out. Has anyone tried this? Or what about baking soda?

I think vinegar would work. I don’t think I’d put baking soda in the washer though.

Vinegar is pretty commonly used as a fabric softener, so that would be a good idea.

Don’t add baking soda, especially not with vinegar!

Haha okay thanks! Hopefully if I get the pee smell out it will help with Lola’s litter habits…

You can actually put in baking-soda, but not with vinegar. Baking soda and sodium bicarbonate enhances the cleaning effect of all detergents. But if you add vinegar, you get lots of foam, the carbondioxide is then released like in a carbonated drink.

I personally love baking-soda for cleaning f ex kitchen utensils.

I used the vinegar this weekend. I used about 1.5 ltr. It worked great!

Did you use 1,5 litres of vinegar? That seems like a lot =/
