As the hormones drop, my males became less amorous as well, though they did improve over time and my Gus is running under my feet again. So don’t lose hope that he may rebound. Pretty sure what you’re seeing is normal. Doesn’t mean it will stay this way. He knows who his buddy is.

I know EXACTLY how you feel! Bumpy was just starting to warm up to me when his hormones starting kicking in, then he LOVED ME. haha It’s been almost 3 months of being pretty much ignored unless food is involved. He is JUST now starting to follow me around and play with the dogs again, and back to being extra curious, instead of sitting in his pen all day and ignoring the world.

Hey rayray I totally get what your saying/describing – my Henry before being neutered was so in our faces (actually, ON our bed) and every time, we cringed and couldn’t kick him off fast enough cause for us, it meant a SPRAYING! Since then he hardly ever gets ON the bed (now he’s not spraying we WANT him on the bed) doh – can’t win/get it right? But as the months (sorry, yes months) went by he is interacting with us more and more. His ON the bed time with us now is very brief (just enough to wake me) and at around 4 am in the morning, like a kid saying “I’m awake – wake up EVERYONE”! But, on the positive side we stopped having to defend ourselves with our ‘pillow’ shields. Even though is he not ‘on’ the bed he sleeps under my bed every night (I always wanted bunk beds) and before we go to sleep, he lays and stares (should I be worried?) at me from the doorway. I have also noticed he is more inclined (even if he is having a lazy day) to be in the same room with us. Before he literally hung out where ever – but as the months have slowly gone by he has become more sociable, he even comes into the kitchen now if he thinks I am preparing dinner/his veggies and will hang around till he gets them. I know Henry (I’m sure I was given a dud bunny) has never been as playful as Ziggy, (ok, who am I kidding, he has never been playful) but he has improved remarkably for such an overly ignorant bun, I reckon (HOPE) that your Zigster will too – it’s just gonna take time…… (sorry). I also ‘think’ when Ziggy is ready for a friend again – it will be YOU! (please, don’t let it be the snake?) ha ha ha hah!

I got the cold shoulder from Pascal for a while… He didn’t have any interest in cuddles for a long time but he is slowly becoming interactive again… He had the added distraction of Starsky moving into the lounge room which gave him a complete dose of the wibblies…..
