  So I got my female bunny, Gizmo, spayed yesterday. I took her to the vet at 8 am and picked her up around 4:30 pm same day.
  
  Yesterday I only managed to get her to taste a raisin (which are her favorite treat) and it wasn’t even a half one. During the night I left her with a bowl of pellets, another one with fresh greens and a bit of apple, a dish of pellets mushed with water, a pinch of oats, single cheerios, and a raisin (and of course hay and water). This morning none of it had been touched. I also left her with a warm rice sock to snuggle with, since she felt a bit cold.
  
  I somehow managed to feed her her pain meds, and get her to take one teeny tiny bit of an apple this morning before I had to go for a bit. Around 10 am this morning, she had barely eaten anything for 24 hours so I force fed her a bit of pellet slush (max 5 cc). Critical Care is unavailable in my country.
  
  She has been peeing, but no poop as of yet and according to the vet the surgery went very well.
  
  Is there anything else I can do to help her get her appetite back? Should I contact the vet? For how long should I be making sure that the rice sock is warm and that she’s snuggling with it?
  
  I’m feeling very nervous, I’ve never been through anything like this before.

  Small update, I called the vet, and she told me to feed her baby food (with broccoli or something else, rich in vitamin C) with a syringe and to call again if the problem persisted.

  Madam De Nomnoms was the same….. I found it was best to leave her in peace that night and in the morning I started to syringe feed water… I got down on the ground and gently put the syringe to the side of her mouth and squirted little bits… Eventually she let me put it in the side of her mouth and started t o drink actively… Once she was hydrated she started to have some hay by the evening she was taking little pieces of coriander and parsley by the next day she was eating about half her normal amount the day after that huge poops and a healthy appetite..

  I tried to giver her water in a syringe. She was skeptic at first, but then she drank quite a bit on her own
  
  Edit: shortly after, she went to her litterbox and left a pile of cecotropes… is that good or bad?
  
  2. edit: she ate some applesauce (100% apples with added vitamin C) from a syringe (and I didn’t have to force it into her mouth, she just licked it) and she ate a strand of hay… I’m so proud of her and so relieved.

  It can take 24-48 hours for females to start eating again and you may find that her poops aren’t normal for a few days as her body processes the anesthesia.
  
  It sounds like she’s doing better now tho, so just keep an eye on her. Give her some of her favorite veggies. 🙂

  Hi HinkyPunki, we our Daisy spayed yesterday too and she didn’t eat anything last night or this morning. We left her with her favourites kale, tiny bit of banana and carrot, and some pellets (normally don’t feed her much of these things but at the moment we would be happy with her eating anything). We may have to start syringe feeding if she hasn’t eaten by the time we get home this evening.
  It sounds like your bun is going to be fine, she clearly wants to eat as normally they hate syringe feeding (ours do anyway).

  She’s doing much better.
  Her appetite is back, and she’s eating just as much as she was before they spay
  She’s even started flinging her toys about and playing like before, so I’m sure she’s feeling just fine.

  Glad to hear she’s doing well Daisy is doing well too. She wasnt eating much to begin with but appetite is back and her 3day checkup today went well. Very much on the mend.
