So I have been up to my eyes in hay from my new bunny. My vacuum wasn’t having any of it and kept clogging up on me. I got on the Internets to see what others had done to remedy this problem of hay in the carpet and was convinced a shop vac was the way to go . Went to Home Depot and got a 2 gallon shop vac(called a Stringer) with an extender wand and that thing clogged so fast . So I was sitting here thinking what am I going to do??I turned back on my dirt devil (for pets) and took the hose where it was getting clogged and dropped it off its hook so it was hanging. Turned it on and to my surprise it helped a TON! It still got back up BUT, it wasn’t spitting the hay back on my floor>.

        Hope this helps somebody,

        ShyRiley

To resolve this issue, I usually have to sweep the hay into a dustpan. And then I can vacuum without the big pieces clogging it up. But I hate sweeping on carpet. It takes a lot of effort and it’s so boring. -.-
