Wooly went back to the vet again. We’re still having the same issues. The vet decided to try some eye drops to see if the medicine will go down his tear duct and into his sinus. I’m supposed to put the drops in and then massage around his eye. The drops smell terrible. Very chemically. Blech!

I’m worried. I mean, I just want to make sure Wooly isn’t in any danger. I worry that something is really wrong. I worry that he will suddenly go downhill and I could have prevented it some how.

His eating is fine… pooping, peeing, drinking are all fine. He hasn’t lost any weight. He is still active and plays. It’s just the sinus issue, which sounds scary at times because he can be rather audible when sneezing.

We don’t know if it is an infection or what. It could be because of his funky third eyelid. Or it could be a tooth root. If things don’t clear up with the eye drops, then we’ll have to do x-rays. His teeth look really good otherwise though. The best the vet has seen in a long time.

I know, some of you might suggest the sinus irrigation thing. I just don’t know I would be able to do it though. Wooly struggles so much any time you try to restrain him. Then he starts getting stressed and you can tell he’s struggling to breathe.

Ack! Leopold is licking Wooly’s eye! Do I need to worry about him getting some of the medicine in his mouth? It isn’t meant to be taken orally.

I asked the vet about this when Pip had eye drops. She said it wasn’t a problem because Dobby would only be able to lick off a tiny bit. Of course, this could vary by medication.

Well, I suppose he probably didn’t get too much. I can ask the vet.
