I recently have been trying to get some more veggies in my diet so started to blend up things like kale, celery, mint etc into smoothies I was wondering if it would be safe to give some of the pulp to my rabbit as a treat only a tablespoon amount would this be safe?

Provided the veggies are bun safe I can’t think of any reason why it would be a problem…. I don’t know if it would be very appealing for them? Maybe it would, I have no idea.
I have a juicer so I wonder the same thing when I make vegetable juice.
            Try it?

How do you make smoothies without water? My rabbits aren’t interested in liquid versions of anything, I tried with carrot juice. I don’t know why that would have to be a treat unless there are things in there a rabbit shouldn’t have. They should be getting daily greens and it doesn’t matter what form really.

The veggies have moisture in them. The juicer puts all the pulp/fibers to the side and just juices the veggies I guess. It’s kinda hard explaining. I’m not good at it lol But we have one and love making new mixtures! Sometimes we give some to the buns in their pellet bowl but it usually just goes in the compost bin because we use the compost to help the garden in spring time.

Sorry I’ve not replied yeah i have just a blender that you change the heads on to make juice from oranges or blend stuff or make smoothies I’m thinking i wouldn’t want to give it to the bun all the time as it is liquid form and I’m not sure if it would affect her tummy but as said previous its pretty much pulp.

Pulp is high in fibre and vitamins, so if your bunny will eat it I’d think it would be great – in moderate amounts of course.

You can also use it yourself if you bake your own bread or in ground-meat dishes like pasta-sauces. I don’t suppose you’ve a horse, but if perchance you do, a horse would love the pulp.
