Aggressive sounding for sure, directed at the toy, I’m almost certain.

After reading here how many buns had stuffed animal toys, I gave mine a stuffed rabbit. He was TERRIFIED of it! He stomped and ran and hid, thumping like crazy. For several days I would sit it in front of his pen so he could see it, only to have him react the same way. He also reacted more strongly when the rabbit was facing him, as if it was looking at him, he’d lunge towards it, thump, and run off and hide in a corner. My husband told me if I did it again, he was going to “throw the damn toy out in the yard”. So I stopped showing it to him. He was much happier playing with the dogs and plastic objects (baby keys, old pill bottles, cat bell-balls).

With that being said, after about a month of him exploring the house, he accidentally discovered the stuffed rabbit in the “designated dog bed/toy” area. Completely ignored it! I then placed it in the same spot that had bothered him previously and he had no reaction to it at all.

So I’m not sure if maybe it’s his maturing, or him being more comfortable and familiar with his surroundings (he was brought here at about 10wks old on Aug 2nd 2013).

Our home is a TINY 672sqft (168sqft he NEVER has access to and 32sqft is HIS penned-in area). He’s very familiar with the place now and much more confident… maybe a little -too- confident!

If you want Delilah to love her new toy, maybe just sit it somewhere she’d eventually run across it. Maybe in a corner, with it facing the corner!! You don’t want her to think it’s daring her to attack by staring her down! lol

He may think that it is another rabbit or animal i had a rabbit before and she turned out being mean we had too return her because my sister got a rabbit and she attacked the other rabbit i got bit and she was dangling from my hand she would of killed the other rabbit if i had not done any thing and i know another person and they left two rabbits alone for like two min and when he came back they where dead :'(

Is Delilah neutered?

Lulu – that’s a very sad story. You shouldn’t have two rabbits together that aren’t bonded so that that doesn’t happen.

That’s so sad, Lulu. It’s awful how aggressive bunnies can be with each other. They are so sweet on their own, it’s so unfortunate that some people do not do the research before putting bunnies together.

Olivia has two stuffed toys in her condo that she routinely beats the snot out of. Then she grooms them. Then beats them up again.

I agree with Tessie, if she’s not spayed, it’s probably hormonal behavior.

Lulu, what a terrible story. If I’d leave my 2 boys alone togeather I’m certain they would kill each other.

My bunny Yohio doesn’t attack his stuffed toys, but he does attack the broom when I sweep the floor. He growls when he does that, and he boxes the broom quite fiercely. It’s adorable to watch. But I don’t think he’s having fun, I think he’s defending his territory.

Definitely sounds aggressive. My female will carry her stuffed toy around and snuggle with it, so they can think stuffed toys are real, or close to it. My girl will also grunt and growl sometimes if I wave things in front of her face (typically food) so sometimes putting stuff in their face just triggers that aggressive response.

Yeah my rabbit when i sweep she will follow me trying too catch the broom but when she gets it she will just chew on it and my rabbit has been acting weird she is a lot more territorial and she wont let me hold her and she chases people and when i do hold her she will give me little nips telling me too put her down but i hope when she gets spayed this will change
