  Is this a bad sign of trying to bond my rabbit??
  
  So, I saw two rabbits for adoption at my local spca. I just went to snuggle, meet them, let them run around. I informed them that their “female” rabbit was indeed a neutered male, their other rabbit is an un-neutered male.
  
  So, it went well. Really really loved the English spot, his personality was amazing. I didn’t go with intentions of adopting but we are considering it. Still waiting for a rescue to get back to me about the earless rabbits.
  
  So we get home and Lucky (1 yr old dutch) went berserk! He was sniffing me all over, tail straight up in the air (what does that mean??) he’s chasing everyone around the house trying to smell us all! He was sniffing me and pooping all over the couch! (he has never pooped on the couch, or on any of us….)
  
  I put him back in his pen since he couldn’t control his bowels, and let him smell my sweater. I can’t tell if he’s excited or being aggressive!

  That’s pretty normal for a bunny whos not used to their human smelling like another bunny. I can’t remember, is your bun fixed?
  
  I wouldn’t assume that he will be harder to bond. The smell probably just made him become territorial. At least he didn’t bite you! I’ve had a rabbit take a chunk out of my hand when I smelled like another rabbit.

  He’s probably smelling the un-neutered male on your clothes (in *his* territory!), and feeling territorial- thus the marking/pooping.
  If/when you bond him, you’d want it to be with a fixed rabbit anyway, so maybe the sex of the new rabbit wouldn’t matter. Though it’s possible that you’d have to go for a male/female bond instead of a male/male bond. You could also try to adopt from a place that allows Lucky to go on “dates” with potential mates; that way you could see how he interacts with different rabbits and different sexes, all in a neutral territory.

  It must have been that (the un neutered one) because I held him for a while (he was super calm and wanted snuggles from me and my boyfriend)
  And yes, Lucky is fixed, and when I talked to them about adopting the new rabbit I asked them to get him fixed (even if I don’t get him, I’m hoping they do it anyways!)
  Took him hours to calm down but he’s now chilling in his spot under the couch.
