Hi, Everyone. I thought I’d clarify how our forums work a bit for those members who are getting used to their fast, speed-of-light means of communicating. AKA Chat, texting, IM’s.

The forums allow you to post as I am here, and then it goes out to all of our members around the world. That means that:

        1. It will be read eventually by people in every different time zone possible. So, your Boston post at 8AM probably won’t be read by your bunny, uh, buddy, in San Francisco at 5AM, but about 4 hours after you post you may get a reply from them.

My pals in Australia? I never even know what day it is when I hear back from them.

        2. Everyone kind of finds time to browse around the site at their own leisure. So, if someone routinely opens BB after getting home from work, even in the same time zone they won’t read your post till much later that day. Some folks hit the site on the weekends, others open up the screen and leave it open on their computers all day long. It varies with each member.

As we all get plugged into faster, smaller forms of gizmos in our lives, we begin to expect a speedy response to our messages. I thought an update on how a Forum is different from those other forms of communications would be helpful to keep you all from being discouraged when you don’t hear from anyone here right away. Forum Leaders check at different times as well. I personally hit the Unanswered button in case a post traveled down the page on a busy day and was missed.

Remember, if it’s urgent care your bunny needs, don’t stop here and wait for us. Call your vet! A vet on the phone can tell you your next step – the life you save may be your bunny’s.

Otherwise, we love our leisurely chats in the forums. Some posts can go on for days, or even all month. We enjoy those, and hope you do too.

          This was a nice reminder!

Here’s a nice video to watch to pass the time while you wait for people to reply
