In answer to your question, we really don’t link to breeds because we don’t have breeders on this site. We actually encourage rescuing rabbits at rescues and shelters, since they are beautiful, unwanted bunnies who need a loving forever home. You can find bunnies of all breeds and ages at shelters, and you just need to look it up to find the ones closest to where you live. Petfinder.com is a great site for finding bunnies ready for adoption.

Generalizations about breeds are harder with bunnies than some species. They have individual personalities! Large bunnies tend to be calmer, but many breeds have energy, from nervous to adventurous explorers. If you go to a shelter, they will already know the bunnies in their care, and you can ask for a type of personality that you like and will be introduced to one like that. More often than not, a cutie will just draw you to them, regardless of the breed, and you’re done. For my second bunny I wanted another boy Mini Rex, so naturally I met Sammykins and she informed me I was her slave – female, English Spot. Not a Mini Rex in sight, and definitely a diva girl. Tough – I was her mother, and she knew it.
