        Hi everyone,

New member! I’ve just got an 8 month old lop eared rabbit but I’m unsure as to which type he is. Can anyone help? Worrying that he’s going to get very big!
It won’t let me upload a photo though as my file is too big!

        Thanks,

        Clojo

OK, Clojo, two ways to reduce the size… Open your pic in Paintbox (under accessories) use skew or resize and reduce to 50-30%
Use microsoft photo editor editing and save at 600×400 (or there abouts) this will make the pic file small enough to load.

How much does he weigh now? I’m not sure a photo would truly help anyway with lops as they pretty much all look the same with the ears but if you tell us a current weight at 8 months we MAY be able to help.

If he’s 8 months I really doubt he’d get too much larger than he is now. He may fill out a tad more but for the most part, he’s pretty much done.

If you’re sure about the age, he’s probably done. If you aren’t sure, ear length is your best clue, though only a clue not a guaranty. Smaller lop breeds usually have shorter ears that just reach their chin, Medium lops tend to have medium length ears that just barely brush the floor. Big lops tend to have long ears that they look like they will trip over as they drag along the floor.
