Big ears are fine, they just make for a majestic bunny….. Clover is very pretty, looks a bit like a darker version of my Starsky but he doesn’t have the solid colour on his back his markings are more English Spot…..
Starsky has big ears too but they tend to helicopter…..

Big ears may be considered a cosmetic flaw. My Yohio has big ears. But since he is of mixed breed and has no pedigree I’ve never considered showing him, so he can have as big ears as he likes =) I think big ears are lovely. Clover looks adorable.

Rabbits tend to chose themselves when it’s a good time to be pet and when it’s absolutely not.

A bunny is a bunny – big ears (never thought of that?), who cares? How adorable is he? 11 out of 10? Sounds perfect to me!

When you breed a small bun – like say, a mini Rex – to a big bun – lets say, Flemish giant – you get Big ears. This could be a version of that.

I don’t think he’s an English Spot, he’s just what they call a “broken” patterned rabbit. Many, many rabbit breeds come in the “broken” variety.

My bunny Yohio is called cross breed at the vet’s and in his insurance-letter. My Bam is probably also of mixed breed but since he’s lop ears, my vet deemed him a mini lop and that’s what he’s called in his insurance. But he has much too short ears to be a pure-bred. And I couldn’t care less. They’re both adorable. Imo they are two of the prettiest bunnies ever, and how lucky aren’t I who happened to find just them =)

Big ears is not a health-issue in any way. Lop ears is more of a problem, they CAN be troublesome because sores etc may heal more slowly since the air-flow is compromized (sores will stay moist, bacteria may thrive etc.). That is rather often an issue with dogs with “lop” ears like cocker-spaniels etc.

I’ve been to two rabbit-shows and I find the whole thing questionable, but then dog-shows are questionable too.

Not everybody would say “mutt” in a degrading or insulting way I think. But it’s probably a term best not used because it may offend people. In Sweden people cross-breed bunnies all the time to get the best jumping-rabbits for agility. Kind of like how sledding-dogs are bred.

I’m not good at determining rabbit-breeds, I’m way too inexperienced. If others here say English spot, that’s probably what he is. And a truly handsome one at that =)

Don’t know about the breed but just thought I’d chime in about his ears and say that as he’s only 10 weeks old then he’ll grow into them.
