        Hey guys,

I had just moved back from university last Friday with Pickles.  The car ride was good, he came back and he was good, he was still eating, he even got along with my puppy at home.  However, in the past 2 days, he decided he doesn’t want to eat his vegetables anymore … or his pellets … but he will eat his hay and he is still pooping and peeing from what I noticed last night.  I’m just worried that he’s not eating as much as he should and I’m worried he’ll eventually just stop eating altogether… I tried putting a little bit of apple juice (no sugar added) on top of his greens in hopes that he’ll eat that.. he ate one, realized it was lettuce and stopped and wouldn’t eat another one.. (he usually has 2 cups of greens a day, it’ll always be a combination of 3 types of greens: kale, romaine, parsley, dill, or cilantro .. but he hates the dill so I just took it out altogether) but he loves his carrots, so I tried giving him a baby carrot and he gobbled that up. As for his pellets, he’d usually gobble them all up at night, but now he didn’t even touch them.  He’s still active and out of his cage and hopping around at night – just not eating..

        Please help!!

I guess I would say you might want to have a vet check him out – not eating could be the result of many things so a physical exam would be a good idea – check teeth, temperature, etc…

well we’re treating him for stasis right now because he’s still gnawing on wood pieces and his hay, the vet doesn’t think it’s a teeth problem and his teeth looked fine to her. He’s starting to slowly eat a little more but not much.. hopefully he gets better soon
