i have a 7 month old rabbit who hasnt been spayed yet (putting it off due to health issues) and she has now developed bladder stones. At first we thought it was just a uti and the vet sent her home with some antibiotics since I couldnt afford an xray but now she just seems to be getting worse. I can tell by the look in her eyes. They are heavy and red around the eyelids. She just doesnt look like she will make it past 48 hours and I cant find a cheaper small animal vet in the area. I am COMPLETELY drained of money. I am currently in the middle of a divorce, custody and immigration is draining me ontop of that I am a single mom to a toddler and I have no job. I am DESPERATE to find her a rescue that will take her in but no one will help me. I dont know what to do anymore!

Can you speak to your vet and discuss working out a payment plan… Also I have heard other members mentioning Care Credit, we don’t have it in Australia but it may be an option for you… I know it is hard and frustrating but your bunny needs treament. Looking for a rescue to help is a good idea but also pursue other options, possibly a compassionate family member who can help out with a loan or maybe cashing in some annual leave hours from work. There is also sites like GOFUNDME that you could try, you may be surprised how many friends and family will put in a few dollars each to help out. Even an emergency shout out on Facebook to friends….. Possibly via Rabbit Action Alerts..
